Devils prefer to use the godly.
I am convinced that we as humans must hear it said over and over again before spiritual understanding is functionally imprinted upon our perception. This is because we hear with our ears and see with our eyes, as we are familiar with seeing and hearing. Because of this, we can actually embrace information that we do not understand or if we do understand it, often we are afraid of it; therefore, to doubt that which has been revealed is the same as being in bondage to fear.
As for those who fear being deceived: being deceived is a temptation that the Lord has provided an escape for. The escape is in being led of the Spirit. Don’t we remember… “Lead us not into temptation?” Those with at least some maturity should understand that this is not the time for fear. The whole world has already been deceived by the religious. While at the same time, the true essence of spirituality has been exploited by the Devils children. This was accomplished not by them stealing it from us but by those blind leaders who came before us turning away from it and replacing it with rituals.
To restore our understanding, Jesus recommended that we search for what we want and Paul, admonished Timothy to study. Evil spirits can actually be studied in their victims, as those victims yield to the evil spirits directives.
There are parallels in spirituality. What is true for angles may also be true for devils and vice versa. There are boundaries in the spiritual realm, which devils and angles understand. There is a spiritual landscape, not to be compared with a natural landscape. There are many such things that we should be aware of.
WE SHOULD KNOW OUR ADVERSARY! This is a principle of war. If we study black magic, Eastern religions and witchcraft along with (what is considered to be) mythology, we will get insights into what the enemy is about and how they function in the war raging against us. Study with a holy eye in the substance of faith and trust, intending to understand what we intend to destroy.
Jesus was revealed to bear witness to the truth and thereby destroy the works of the Devil. He is the first born among MANY brothers! Jesus is the prototype! We seek to be the production models. Jesus understood the works of the Devil and the structure of evil spirits and his interaction with them is different than we might imagine.
(Nevertheless, at the beginning, a new convert or ANYONE not yet rooted should avoid these studies and observations. No matter how much we learn or see, the essence is still about faith, trust, discernment and the spiritual substance of everything. Do not participate in what those of darkness particape in... just observe. Be obedient! That thing about fools rushing in where angles fear to tread has some relevance here and this is not a small thing.)
We can actually be presented with insights and draw back in fear… because we see its unorthodoxy. But what did you expect? Unorthodox is what we are about and unorthodoxy is what we deal with. Strange balances appear when one or more brethren see something that is different than the run of the mill understanding that we have grown comfortable with.
Looking at the Israelites after the crossing of the Red Sea finds them, time after time succumbing to the weights of Egypt, which they brought with them in their heart.
Beware of those who fear the metamorphosis of the wilderness. God is not finished; if we are not changing, we are not growing! To be equipped for what is promised, we must release the weights that upset the unity of the Spirit. Many who have “come out” will not go into the promise, which is consistent with the pattern of deliverance as seen in Exodus!
What was created in the wilderness was not what came out of Egypt. Therefore, the beings that had received the power to conquer the enemy were of a different spirit than those who drew back in fear. These were the born again… “again,” if you can perceive it. Those who could not receive it died between bondage and the promise. Even Moses and Aaron did not obtain the promise because of one incident of rebellion. Basically, they were hard headed in not doing exactly as God had instructed them.
We should fear God and nothing else. We must not contradict the leading by being afraid of an unfamiliar spiritual landscape. If the Lord is with us and we are with him, let us be confident in that trust. If the Twenty Third Psalm means anything at all, surely it applies to spiritual safaris into unknown territory: “I will fear no evil.”
When the Israelite spies went into the promised-land only two saw the potential for victory. The others focused upon the Giants and walled cities. There was no positive unity.
Those two, who were willing to trust God for the victory (with their life) went into the promises of God. The others did not enter into the promise.
This boils down to a unity in the Spirit… which we must manifest. True unity is not natural among human kind. Spiritual unity is just that; it is the unity of the Spirit. We have observed it for short periods of time in the “glory of the assent”; that is, when the Spirit begins to move and some discern it and move with it. It is when we reach the relief of the plateaus that the religious mannerisms catch up with us.
And that is exactly what it is… religion! Nevertheless, there are those who refuse to discern the weights for what they are. We have acquired knowledge and insight into the deeper understandings. This is good; nevertheless, if we do not overcome the mannerisms of our previous bondage, how will we be able to be accounted worthy of the high calling? Our righteousness must exceed theirs and we know who THEY are!
These weights have plagued the godly from the beginning. Once we begin distributing these religious weights, one to another, the flesh is made manifest through them and discord arises.
The Devil is among us: where ever and however the godly assemble, devils assemble among us, as in the account of Job. They move among those weights and have been very successful in “using the brethren” to quench the Spirit in that manner. And the “distributors of these religious weights,” being ignorant of the poison in the stones, go about this devilment thinking that they do the will of God.
So we can see that devils prefer to use the godly; that is, if they can persuade them to agree to their hidden purpose. This is accomplished by them playing upon what we think we know or fear of what we don’t know. These religious spirits quietly blow on these embers to create a flame of discord. Of course, it is exceedingly subtle and difficult to see this and therein is the problem. It usually presents itself in a grouchy, demand to be afraid to go forward or to return to the comfortable familiarity. Nevertheless, as always, there is a discerned balance to be maintained here!
In a nut shell: it is the spirit of religion that we have brought with us. It simply keeps showing up and is never a good thing. Being fearful of anything a little far out there is part of that. First of all, realize that religion is a spirit and how subtle those spirits are. The reality of religion covers a lot of ground that we simply never look at because we think we are beyond it!
Just because we love the Lord does not mean we have arrived, nor does knowledge make us holy.
As maturing servants and sons of God, we are required to put away our immaturity and to assume the image of God. This includes our beloved immature rituals and religious mannerisms, religious clichés and whatever lives on the floor of the chicken-coop.
Even the ritual of communion has a mature application and a substance grounded in faith. When we grow up, we put away the rituals and operate in the substance of faith! Many are afraid of this as well as anything at all unfamiliar, as if it were some evil suggestion. In the natural life, before we arrive at full age, we put down our toys and are expected to exercise in the balances of full age.
Religious spirits can be seen at work in the first church. This was accomplished by evil spirits playing upon what certain ones of the brethren thought they knew or fear of what they didn’t know. By this means hurtful discord was sown among the brethren. Then, it concerned the Law of Moses; today, it concerns Christian tradition and MINDSET, which is religious familiarity. Out of these very subtle satanic attacks, factions are created, which destroys unity. If we read and understand, we can see the Devil using the brethren to accomplish these filthy deeds, then and now! This is not a small matter!
As for fear: with the terror of the Most High in our right hand, we are the terror of God! Once we understand this, how can we fear evil; how can we fear being deceived?

Feeble Human Reality
In our feeble human reality we need eyes to see. In the spiritual realm we can see by perception as clear as day. Has anyone ever felt the presence of the Lord? If yes, that was perception. We don’t need to see a discernable face with eyes nose and mouth. God is not a man… he is a spirit. We should not “think” the Lord down to our level but we should “think” ourselves up to His level.
With the spiritual, we have to turn our thinking wrong side out; we do not naturally think in a spiritually balanced manor. It is something we must learn. Discerning what we already handle in the Spirit (for what it actually is) will do us a great deal of good towards unfolding this understanding.
When we pray, what are we really doing? We come before the (throne) power and authority of God. When God opens our understanding, what is happening in our minds? Our will is being changed into his will. And how profound are these activities? This is real, not imagined… that’s how profound it is. These questions deal with the dimensions and substance of faith and how real we believethe Lord to be in our spiritual experiences.
Simply thinking in this frame of thought puts us in a stronger state of mind and broadens our horizons. I am convinced that we always have entered realms of spirituality without being keenly conscious of how deep and profound it is. This is because we approach it from the outside in, instead of the other way around. If we are dealing with the Lord from the outside, than he really is way “up there” somewhere because that’s where we put him!
We pray: “Bla bla bla… Amen!” Nevertheless, without a consciousness of the reality of what we just did, it is more like we just mailed a letter to Santa Claus. It is a very serious and awesome thing to come into the presence of God? That is… IF… we do actually accomplish that mission.
Here’s an example, for those who say ritual blessings over their meals: “Bla bla bla… Amen!” And then, fifteen minutes later somebody chimes in, “Did we say the blessing?” For a micro second, nobody moves. So we say it again… “Bla bla bla… Amen!” Because nobody could remember. Was the mission accomplished?
Half-heartedness is what ritual leads to. Here is yet another Babylonian stone (among the others) in our cart. Should we teach our children ritual prayer which tends towards a reality which is lukewarm? This is what I am talking about when I say leave Babylon in Babylon! This is the kind of non-obvious weight that we never think about. And if there is that… what more is there that we never focus upon? These are hindrances to our journey.
Many of us have not learned to be conscious of being ACTUALLY IN the presence of the Most High. We think that our prayers travel up to God, somewhere way up there beyond the blue, maybe millions of light years away. This is because we do not understand that the kingdom is within us (here and now) and that God and his throne is there as well… that Jesus is there and ALL the angels.
This is the type of reality that boggles the mind. It is totally human to start a series of questions concerning how such a thing could be possible. Nevertheless, this dimension of spirits is very abstract to the one that we live and think in. This is the other side of the coin. Carnal minds by the law of rationality must wrestle with these things. Are you wrestling (smile)?
The spiritual dimension is totally different than the natural plane. If we talk, think or study spirituality our reference points must be spiritual or we absolutely will not be able to discern what we are looking at. The reason for this is because we will through comparison bring the spiritual things down to the limitations of our own natural realm and this will create a distortion in what we see.
For example: many, if not most people, think of heaven as a city in the sky or space. In the eye of their mind they see an actual city floating in open space with massive pearl gates; this is, however, a good example of the distortion we get when the understanding is lacking. This example extends and covers many other spiritual beliefs that have been likewise compared and thus distorted.
There is no distance in the spiritual realm, such as exist in our carnal minds. The realm of faith is beyond this, as is all the substance that pertains to it. This reality creates a different spectrum without horizons, the horizons being our imagined limitations.
This can twist the carnal mind to the point of insanity unless it is discerned through the substance of faith, which is the bridge between the natural mind and the eternal reality of things spiritual, both good and evil.
Surprisingly, the key into these things is the will of God! We must understand this beyond any fuzzy perception whatsoever! Those who are holy follow the protocol of heaven. Faith puts us in the presence of the Father, who is in heaven. We are always in heaven in one sense but we are also in the natural realm at the same time. When we do anything that relates to the kingdom we function there as well as here.
In heaven, the will of God is done… not our will. That is the rule! Therefore, “when we are in the focus of heaven ,” we must orient everything to the will of God.
Understanding that is paramount! Believing this concept to be true, as we sit in our homes (out of the spiritual focus) looking through our natural eyes at the kids fighting and the TV blasting in the background, is a true test. Nevertheless, this is not as hard as it sounds.
Spiritual things seem complicated at first look and then as we move into the understanding we are moved towards simplicity. At first, it seems complicated because of the effort it takes to scale the wall of what we think we already know or simply because of our ignorance.
It is not up to us to create the power that manifests the will of God. God can and God will (at his own discretion) do what he will; it is up to us to maintain our trust on that exact bulls-eye; this is readiness!
As for our natural needs, we have a standing contract with the Lord. God has agreed to supply our natural needs, contingent upon us (first) seeking his righteousness and therefore his kingdom… which is within us! It’s on the inside not the outside! That’s the deal.
If we are not so totally focused on the preservation of our natural life, as those who are worldly, we can depend upon this contract. God will surely do exactly as he has promised, if we do what he has asked of us.
We do not have to remind God to do what he said he will do… he does not forget! Nevertheless, we do have to remind ourselves of who we are and what our purpose is so as not to be carried away with the river of vanities and cares that we have been submerged in.
At this point we can see a different kind of reality. As I have said before, it borders on insanity; that is, to them who have no eyes or ears to hear such things.
We can see by what has been revealed that there is a limitless area within our own heart and that the kingdom of heaven is there. This is only true if we believe that God IS in our heart and where God is heaven exists there because of him.
This is the thought process of truly godly individuals, whom the carnal minded would declare to be insane by reason of strong delusions. This is also a good example of the contrast between a holy mind and a carnal mind.
On the other hand, there are those of us who dwell in a comfortable mind set. I am not referring to “at ease in Zion” but simply a “place” of familiarity in our minds. We are uncomfortable when we hear things that don’t sound familiar. Do we fear being deceived?
After all, being deceived is one of the things that Jesus said to look out for. Nevertheless, when Jesus taught us to pray one of the elements of that praying was the deliverance from evil: the evil being the temptation of deceit! Eve was deceived because she was first tempted and led away. On the other hand, fear can work in the same way, leading us to draw back from the promise! Either way, we are deceived.
Speaking of the promise of God, there is a place of authority in the Lamb and if we can discern it… the time is at hand. If we sit in his throne, we also stand with him on the mountain top. If we stand with him and sit with him, we also follow him where ever he leads. We are with him and he with us.
The riches of the Spirit are always “in season,” as are those who dwell there; nevertheless, the natural realm is not in that zone until the will of God dictates it to be so. Therefore, when God nods his head and the spiritual season dips into the natural realm of time, then we will be “instant” because we are already there.
Bring the Lord through the door from the outside to the inside, sit with him in his throne, stand with him on top of the mountain of his holiness, follow him in the power of his Spirit. Eat his flesh and drink his blood and be consumed by him. And then… bring this consciousness up into the reality of the conscious mind, where it can be seen with the lights on and live this reality and be strong in it so that we lack nothing!

Snake Handling
There is a right way and a wrong way to manifest faith; balance and understanding is the key ingredient. I suppose some would say, “Enough already, with all this “will of God stuff,” over and over again! And what is all this esoteric, far out, mumbo jumbo that sounds so weird?”
Mature wisdom sounds weird to the immature. How else could it possibly be?
I’ve seen about every boondoggle imaginable when it come s to believing God; that is, concerning the many ways people come up with to “have faith” in God. These people are, nevertheless, sincere, thinking that God will honor what they think is faith.
One thing for sure, faith is not what an individual does when he makes a spectacle of himself for others to see how holy he is or how strong his faith is. Then there are the ones who think that God will honor their faith because he or she puts their life on the line or better still, the life of their child.
I am finding the substance of the spiritual reality to be subtle and extremely powerful but nevertheless, very emotional as well; the emotion comes through the resistance in the carnal mind. For example: someone that we dearly love is deathly sick. Let’s say this person is a young child, a daughter maybe but it could be anyone. How do we pray? It is normal for a parent to want the child to be well. And that is not a bad thing.
The main question is nevertheless: do we trust God’s judgment or do we LEAN upon our own natural desires for what we want or what we think is the obvious solution?
We all know about the prayer of faith saving the sick. However… the prayer of faith is subject to the will of God. We can pray the prayer of faith all we want and if it does not fall within the will of God, that person could die. I’ve seen this more times than I can remember and most likely, so have we all.
Let me put forth a balance before I continue. The servant has a particular set of manners that is manifested towards the master. There is respect in this protocol. In short, the WILL of the master is always first! Even if IT SEEMS that the master does not require a certain thing, a good servant will always make double sure of master’s desire and does not assume anything. This is the protocol of the good servant. Nevertheless, at times, God may reveal his specific will through various ways, which would then be the queue to act on that knowledge.
So then… concerning the sick young child: knowing the mercy of God and considering his focus on our every situation and specifically our sick, beloved child… how will we now pray? “Lord, please save my child or Lord, let your will be done?”
You see, the “spiritual mind” puts the will of God even above the life of a beloved child, or mother, father or spouse. This is about our every day, every time attitude of trust… in the fact that the Lord does truly evaluate (every day, every time) whatever the situation isand that his decision will be perfect.
Praying within the will of God and for the will of God is the art of prayer. This may seem simple at first glance but as I have said before, try it! It is not as easy as we might think and certainly not simple. The fleshly mind fights this concept, even among the godly because the human will in those minds is still alive.
On the other hand, it is rarely (if ever) necessary to display our trust before the world. Neither is our trust violated if we go to doctors or take an aspirin for a headache. Nevertheless, there are those who are confused about these things and with great sincerity and dedication to that confusion.
Never, however, do we stand on the rooftop and proclaim our “pharisaical trust in God,” while our children or loved ones die for lack of available medical care! This is the same for snake handling, poison drinking and standing on the train track with the train bearing down on us… trusting God to save us from our own stupidity! Stupidity is simply when a person does not get it: they don’t understand, they are in a fog. It is a VERY bad balance to make a public, religious spectacle of ourselves!
Again… this is about an attitude of abandonment, every day, every time. In my book, attitude is about the true essence of the heart. We can say all kinds of things with the mouth and even believe our own insincere verbal affirmations (often referred to as B.S.) but the attitude (whatever it contains)is always seen and weighed by the Lord, whether others see it or not.
If the attitude is not balanced, the heart is not right and the Lord is still out there knocking. We man the doorway, it is under our control.
If we have the sincerity to want what God wants for us… we must open the door. And what does that mean? It means that we are opening the door to being consumed, even as we consume Him! There is a part of us that will no longer exist and resurrection will have happened in us! (see John 11:25) When we are the living dead… Jesus lives. This is how the works of power are manifested; not by what WE want to do for him but by Him doing what He wants to do (the will of God) through us.
And the angel of the LORD called unto him out of heaven, and said, Abraham, Abraham: and he said, Here am I. And he said, Lay not thine hand upon the lad, neither do thou anything unto him: for now I know that thou fearest God, seeing thou hast not withheld thy son, thine only son from me. - Gen 22:11&12.
Do you think I’m insane; was Abraham also crazy to intend to kill his only son, Isaac for the will of God? God did not wish Isaac’s death but he did want to see the protocol of faith at work in Abraham! God does not change!
Abraham manifested a true attitude of trust and respect towards the Lord; this was done in secret, which represented the unseen substance within. Abraham believed that the Lord would PROVIDE what was not yet seen. His son was the proof of that and so was the ram which was caught in the bush! This was also an affirmation of his spiritual wisdom and understanding as servant of the Most High God.
So… is it alright for our faith to be less than Abraham’s? No, it is not alright because God is still looking for that kind of trust in those who inhabit human bodies!
Will we therefore withhold anything from the Lord, who gave it to us in the first place? Well… will we? Can we now see the substance of the attitude of faith here?
Will we now focus on the subtleties of the holy attitude, which is the thought process of those who are led by the Spirit? This is the attitude that holds hands with the reality of the substance of faith. Therefore, let us in our “secret insanity,” consider the insanity to be our reality and the realm of the carnal world to be a passing fantasy and being aware of that, place our value of all things where it pleases the Lord.
