Ever wonder why there are so many... PEDOPHILES BEHIND THE PULPIT ? If it were one or two spread across the world or even across the country we might pass it off to luck of the draw but we find far too many of these predators. Why in the pulpit? It is by far the best place for an evil beast to lurk. It is able to hide in plain sight and in many cases, even if discovered, is able to lie his way out of the situation. No one believes his accuser.
The Devil loves nothing better than to hide behind, or better yet, to hide inside of something that is or is supposed to be pure and good. What better place for the Devil to hide than behind the pulpit? Jesus talks about the degradation of the House of God in the book of Revelation when he speaks of the condition into which Christianity has decayed. Whenever an angel or any other being speaks in this book, it is Jesus. Jesus is the word of God and the book of Revelation is his book.
Revelation is the wake-up call for the believers. It also gives instruction right from the mouth of God on what to do. So if we understand where we are in the spiritual landscape, we also may understand where to go and what to do when we get there. I didn’t make this up! I will, nevertheless, point it out with a few simple upcoming verses.
If pedophiles in the pulpit was the worse thing that happened in the old institution then we would actually be in good shape. We would be able to deal with them in short order. In fact, what can be seen as sin is not a drop in the bucket compared to the actual condition of Christianity, which is terribly hard to see. Pedophiles, thieves, even murderers and much worse is nothing new! This has been going on for over a thousand years.
The dilemma is that for even the sincere ones on the inside, clergy and laity alike, it is almost impossible to see what the real situation is and how deep it goes. Evil abounds inside Christianity today and everyday! However, most Christians will say: ”What evil?” Nevertheless, those who see it struggle mightily to explain that the sins of Christianity are subtle and almost invisible. Besides that, it is a common tradition for the clergy to explain away and make small the obvious but the spiritual sins are so big that one might look at them daily and not perceive it in any fashion whatsoever. These things must be pointed out. Nevertheless, seeing is a matter of orientation rather than anything else. That focus must be spiritual and on things above, not on that we see naturally.
“And he cried mightily with a strong voice, saying, Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen, and isbecome the habitation of devils, and the hold of every foul spirit, and a cage of every unclean and hateful bird.” - Rev 18:2.
So if we wonder why... by the above verse it is easy to see. Babylon is a metaphor for Christianity, which has left it’s first love and has become vile in the sight of God. If you will read the 17th & 18th chapters of The Revelation for yourself. you will see it in metaphoric terms. Also, you will see what the individual is commanded to do about this situation:
And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues. (5) For her sins have reached unto heaven, and God hath remembered her iniquities.
-Rev 18:4 &5.
If that does not start the wheels of your mind to turning... nothing ever will! I don’t have an agenda, such as filling the pews of a church building or funding a TV program or (in general) just making money off of gullible people. I’m not a professional clergy person. Nevertheless, God wants you to understand some very profound things. Things that you will never hear in a million years in the traditional roadside cathedral. There is much to be revealed for those who are hungry to understand.
